With around 45% of known plant species threatened with extinction urgent action is needed. This programme will conserve at least 50 critically endangered (CR) plants, as designated by the global IUCN Red List, from across the world in ex situ seed banks. We will then develop propagation protocols and enable seed material, knowledge and expertise associated with these collections to be used to enhance in situ outcomes.
