Nature Natters
Spending time in nature is one of the best ways to support both physical and mental well-being.
Join us for our free and inclusive community walk and talk group, which meets on the last Monday of every month. This initiative is supported by the NHS Alliance for Better Care
Sow and Grow
Join us in Wakehurst’s Children’s and Community Garden, for a practical introduction to sustainable gardening.
Suitable for all experience levels, come and cultivate your passion for gardening with us.
Build confidence, learn horticultural skills and meet new friends, every second to last Monday of the Month.
Dementia friendly walks
Wakehurst invites people living with dementia on an accessible guided walk to explore the gardens through sight, smell and touch.
Led by a friendly group of trained volunteers and guides, every last Tuesday of the Month.
Trees for Bees engagement days
Wakehurst is carrying out groundbreaking research to find out what trees pollinators like best and how we can make our cities more pollinator friendly, and we’d like you to join us!
Hear from our pollination scientists and help them discover what our native pollinators are foraging on. Don't miss this chance to contribute to vital conservation efforts, while being guided around our stunning landscapes.
Crafting for Connection
Learn about Wakehurst and the Millennium Seed Bank, whilst making friends through our monthly crafting group. All abilities and experience levels are welcome and materials are provided.
Support workers and essential companions are very welcome and will also receive free entry to the gardens.
Glow Wild Lantern Making workshops
Join our expert lantern makers and contribute to the Glow Wild trail. A perfect day out for you and your group.
We offer free sessions to Community Access Scheme member groups, as well as those interested in joining the Scheme. Sessions take place between March and October each year.
