Fungi: Drawing & painting mushrooms
Identify, draw and paint fungi in a three-day botanical art course.
Fungi exhibit an astonishing variety of shapes, colours, and textures, making them fascinating subjects for botanical art.
This three-day course will introduce participants to fungal structures, identification techniques, and artistic rendering using pencil, pen and ink, and watercolour.
A Kew mycologist (mushroom expert) will join the course to provide insights into fungus identification and ecology. You will have the opportunity to sketch specimens collected from Kew’s gardens and work from high-quality photographic references.
A materials list will be provided ahead of the course.
