Our free sensory guided walking tours are designed for visitors with visual impairments and their carers to explore the Gardens through touch, smell, and description.

In this audio-described video, broadcaster, writer and RBG Kew Ambassador Konnie Huq joins actor, voiceover artist and disability advocate Eleanor Stollery on an enchanting sensory tour of the Princess of Wales Conservatory

Guided by Kew learning and participation facilitator Abi Rhodes, Konnie and Eleanor taste the delicious products of the cacao tree, get hands-on with the striking jade vine, and meet the flower that has helped Eleanor fight cancer: the Madagascar periwinkle. The video is audio-described by Roz Chalmers.

Sensory tours are part of our Community and Access Learning Programme where you can find accessible opportunities and resources including BSL tours and dementia friendly walks - as well as our Community Access Scheme for community groups within the M25.
